Iran Business Visas (single, double or multiple entries)
An ‘entry’ visa is effectively a ‘business’ visa. It is required by foreign nationals who wish to travel to Iran for economic, commercial, cultural or industrial purposes.
It is also required by those attending economic or cultural conferences or those participating in sporting events. The authorized duration of stay is usually up to 30 days. You will need an invitation letter from the company/organization you intend to visit.
If you have plenty of time before you intend to travel (at least 8 weeks), you can apply for a visa by contacting your nearest Iranian Embassy.
Alternatively, you can use a Visa 2 Iran Service to take care of all the details and get your visa for you. Visa 2 Iran can get you a visa to travel at short notice and without the need for an interview at the embassy.
To apply for a press visa independently you need to contact the Iranian Embassy nearest to where you live and ask for/download a visa application form. Next, you will need to obtain a Letter of Invitation from your business sponsor in Iran.
Once you have your Letter of Invitation you need to send this to your nearest Embassy along with:
- A photocopy of the ID page of your passport
- Two current passport size photographs. (Females should always wear a headscarf in their visa application photographs.)
- A letter of invitation from the business inviting you.
- The appropriate fee.
At the present time the entry Visa application fee for British nationals is £90.
Once the embassy has received your application they will then contact you to arrange an interview.
If successful, you will then need to take your passport to the consular section of the embassy for them to stamp your visa into your passport.
